01 About
A company built around one layer of the stack.
Trustlayer Technologies Ltd is a UK software company. We make two products, both about business email: Footersly, which decides what every message from your organisation says about you, and MailAuthInspector, which decides whether anybody believes it.
02 Why a parent company
Separate products, one set of promises.
Each product is run as its own service, on its own domain, with its own customers and release cycle. A customer of one is not a customer of the other, and neither depends on the other being bought.
What they share is the company behind them: one security practice, one privacy notice, one list of sub-processors, one place to send a data protection request, and one set of people answerable for all of it. That is what the parent company is for.
Email signatures, centrally held. Footersly puts every signature, disclaimer and campaign banner in your organisation under one set of templates - applied from Microsoft 365, filled from your directory, and changed without anybody editing Outlook.
Read about FooterslySPF, DKIM, DMARC - checked and watched. MailAuthInspector reads the DNS records that decide whether your mail is trusted - SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, MTA-STS - tells you what is wrong in plain words, and keeps watching so it stays right.

Both products started as somebody's unpaid Friday job.
Footersly began as a way to stop rebuilding the same signature deployment for every tenant. MailAuthInspector began as a script to find out why a client's invoices were being junked, when every tool said their SPF record was fine. Both became products for the same reason: the existing answer was a report nobody could act on.
We are small, we are funded by the people who use the software, and we would rather tell you a feature does not exist than imply it does.
Footersly needs directory fields and templates. MailAuthInspector needs public DNS and, if you send them, the aggregate reports receivers already publish about you. Message content is not part of either job.
Customer data is held in UK or EU regions. Where a sub-processor sits outside the UK, it is named on our sub-processors page with the safeguard that covers the transfer.
Support access is granted by you, time-limited, and recorded in the same change log you can read. An engineer who opens your organisation leaves a line in it.
Templates, domains and reports export in open formats, and the retention periods after you close an account are written down in the privacy policy rather than left to us.
04 Company details
For the record.
The details a customer, an auditor or a procurement team usually needs. If something you need is missing, ask and we will send it.
