Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, what we have done deliberately, what we know is not perfect, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.
Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA on this website. We are not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not bind us, but the Equality Act 2010 does require us to make reasonable adjustments — and a brochure site that some people cannot read is simply a bad brochure.
What this site does
- Keyboard first. Everything works without a mouse, focus is always visible, the focus order follows the page, and a skip link gets you to the content.
-
Semantic markup. One
h1per page and a real heading hierarchy beneath it, landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, and data tables with proper row and column headers — so a screen reader can navigate by structure rather than by guesswork. - Contrast. Body text, headings and link text meet or exceed the AA contrast ratio against the dark background, and we do not rely on colour alone to carry meaning.
- Reflow and zoom. The layout reflows to a single column at narrow widths and remains usable at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Motion. The only animation is a short fade as sections come into view, and it is disabled entirely when your system requests reduced motion. Nothing flashes, moves continuously or auto-plays.
- Forms. Every field has a visible, associated label; errors are described in words next to the field rather than by a red outline; and validation runs on the server, so the form works with JavaScript turned off.
- Text, not pictures of text. The marks and diagrams are SVG, decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology, and no information is conveyed only in an image.
- Your fonts. We use the typefaces already on your device rather than loading our own, so your size and font preferences are respected and nothing is blocked while a font downloads.
- Print. The legal pages have a print stylesheet that drops the navigation, turns the text dark on white and expands link destinations.
Known issues
We would rather list these than imply they do not exist:
- The site is presented in a dark theme only. A light theme is planned; in the meantime your browser's reader mode or a forced-colours setting will render the pages legibly.
- The layered diagram on the home page is decorative and is hidden from screen readers. The same information is in the text of the three product sections immediately below it, though a text alternative stated directly on the diagram would be better.
- The on-page index on the legal pages appears after the policy text in the reading order. That is deliberate — the policy should come first — but it means screen reader users meet the index last.
- Long policy tables scroll horizontally on a narrow phone. The content is reachable, but a stacked layout would read better and is on the list.
If something affects you that is not listed here, that is a gap in our testing rather than an accepted limitation. Please tell us.
The products
Footersly and MailAuthInspector are applications rather than brochure pages, and each publishes its own accessibility statement covering its own interface. If an accessibility barrier is stopping you from doing your job in either of them, that is a defect and we will treat it as one — write to support@trustlayertechnologies.com and say what you were trying to do.
Telling us about a problem
Email hello@trustlayertechnologies.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Mentioning your browser and any assistive technology you use helps us reproduce it, but do not let a missing detail stop you writing.
We will acknowledge within 5 working days and tell you what we intend to do. Where a fix is quick we will simply make it; where it is not, we will say when.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which advises on rights under the Equality Act 2010, at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
Getting the content another way
If any page here is difficult for you to use, ask and we will send the same content in another format — plain text, large print, or simply a person on the phone talking you through it. There is no charge and no form to fill in.
How this was assessed
This statement was prepared on 16 October 2026. The site was assessed by its developers using keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 400%, automated checks for contrast and markup validity, and manual review of heading structure, landmarks and form labelling. It has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist or tested by a panel of disabled users, and we will update this section when it has.
