02 Why it exists
The problem, stated honestly.
A signature is the one part of a business email nobody owns. Marketing wants the new logo on it, legal wants the disclaimer intact, IT gets the ticket, and every member of staff has quietly made their own version. Footersly makes it one template and one change.
03 What it does
Email signatures, centrally held.
Six things, described as they behave rather than as a feature list. If one of them is the reason you are reading this page, it is the one to ask about.
Build a signature once and apply it across the tenant. Per-user fields - name, title, team, phone, photo - fill themselves from Microsoft Entra ID, so a new starter has a correct signature on their first morning.
Legal text is held separately from the design and previewed against the live signature before it goes out, so a brand refresh cannot quietly drop the wording your lawyers approved.
Run a banner under the signature for a launch or an event, scoped to the teams it applies to, with a start and an end date so nothing is still advertising a conference that happened last spring.
Connect the tenant once. Sync groups decide who gets which template, and the user list the templates apply to is the one that already comes through from the directory.
Rights are granted one area at a time - templates, campaigns, disclaimers, users, reports - and only an organisation admin can change somebody's role. A view-only right opens every page and is refused at the point of writing.
Every change is recorded with who made it, including a provider's delegate who holds no account in your tenant and appears in no user list.
04 Who uses it
Whose desk this lands on.
- IT teams running Microsoft 365
- Marketing teams who own the brand
- Legal and compliance, who own the disclaimer
- Managed service providers running it for clients

Footersly runs at footersly.com. Everything commercial — pricing, trials, a demo with your own tenant — is handled there, or through us if you would rather talk first.
