§ Website terms
Website terms of use
The terms on which Trustlayer Technologies Ltd makes this website available. They cover the website only - the products are supplied under their own agreements.
Who we are
This website is operated by Trustlayer Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that company, and “the site” means trustlayertechnologies.com.
Accepting these terms
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using it. We recommend you keep a copy; the version in force is the one published here, and the date at the top tells you when it was last reviewed.
This is not the product agreement
Footersly and MailAuthInspector are supplied under their own terms of service, agreed when an account is created, together with any order form, data processing agreement or service level terms signed with us. Those documents govern the products. Nothing on this site varies them, and nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance or a commitment to supply.
How you may use the site
You may read, print and share pages of this site for your own information and for the internal purposes of your organisation, including in a procurement or security review. You must keep any notice of ownership intact.
You must not:
- use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- copy, republish or sell its content as your own, or present it as anybody else's work, including by passing it off as the output of another product;
-
scrape, harvest or bulk-download the site other than by a search engine behaving in line
with our
robots.txt; - introduce any virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or other malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
- attack the site, including by denial of service. Doing so is a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990; we will report it and co-operate with the authorities;
- use the contact form to send unsolicited marketing, abuse, or anything you would not put your name to.
Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the site and its content — text, layout, graphics, the Trustlayer, Footersly and MailAuthInspector names and logos, and the underlying code — belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by the laws of the United Kingdom and by international treaties.
Nothing on this site grants you a licence to our trade marks. Third-party names appearing here — Microsoft, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Entra ID and others — belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe how our products work. Their appearance implies no endorsement, partnership or affiliation unless we say so expressly.
Accuracy, and no advice
We take care that what is on the site is accurate at the time it is published, but it is general information about what our products do. It is not technical, security, legal, regulatory or professional advice, and it is not a warranty about how a product will behave in your environment.
Before relying on anything here for a decision — particularly a change to a live DNS zone or a production mail flow — test it, or ask us. Statements about future plans are statements of intention, not promises, and are not part of any contract.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, usually for maintenance, and we will try to give reasonable notice where we can. The site is free to use and we accept no liability for it being unavailable.
Service availability for the products themselves is a matter for the product agreement, not for these terms.
Links to and from this site
Where we link to another website, including footersly.com and mailauthinspector.online, we do so for your convenience. Pages outside this site have their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their content.
You may link to our home page, provided you do so fairly and lawfully, do not suggest any association or endorsement that does not exist, and do not frame the site on another. We may withdraw that permission at any time.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law: we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations relating to the site; and we will not be liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data, business interruption or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from reliance on anything published on it.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect, and this section does not reduce them.
Security testing
We welcome good-faith security research, within the boundaries set out on our security page. Research that stays inside them — no denial of service, no access to anybody else's data, no social engineering of our staff — will not be met with legal action. Report what you find to security@trustlayertechnologies.com.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may change the site at any time, and we may amend these terms. Each visit is governed by the terms in force when you make it, so please check this page from time to time. We will highlight a change that materially affects your rights.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
These terms do not create any right enforceable by a third party. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
